I'm a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Krichmar Cognitive Robotics Laboratory here at UC Irvine. Currently I'm working on projects in the fields of computational neuroscience and neuromorphic engineering. I am developing large-scale spiking neuron models to describe various neural phenomena. I also play a role in our lab's participation in the DARPA SyNAPSE project.

I received my PhD in Physics from Purdue University in May, 2011. My thesis adviser was Nicholas Giordano in the Department of Physics. For my thesis I developed biophysically detailed computational models for synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus. I studied a particular learning phenomenon called spike-timing dependent plasticity (STDP).
